[Contra with Two Players]

Wow, that animation was beautiful. Seriously, favorited, man. and here's why:

1. You're clean--

There's no garbage(i.e. innuendo, explicit material), which is at the very top of my list for any given artist. There was only one profane word in the whole video(well, two: using God's name in vain counts in my opinion), and it wasn't to ruinous to the mood of the video.

2. The Mood--

It was light hearted, and sincere in a way. Too many flashes nowadays are about yelling and screaming, or making fun of someone else(admittedly I'm a bit guilty of this), which is really depressing. Animators who consistently stick to the more upbeat topics really deserve more viewing.

3. Effort--

This last point is more of a point of respect to the viewer. The quality of the art, the fluidity of the inbetweening, and the consistency of the lighting throughout the video all say one thing really: You care about giving the viewer a good end product. And caring in such an apathetic environment like Newgrounds says even more about your overall character. which is why both you and the movie are going on my favorites list. :)

Thanks for the well thought out response. It's funny you bring up my swearing in this video, if you actually watch all my other shorts you'll see that this is one of the only times I swear! I actually had a big debate in my head if I should say "God dammit" or not.

In part I wanted this to be part of a larger narrative that involves some more futuristic tech and I figured our population would be much larger than then, although the stresses that such a population would put on resources, space, and infrastructure would most likely play a factor in why we would go so nuke crazy in the first place. It's funny, y'know. The reason why I started animating was because of Edd, too. Only, it wasn't because of how great he was at animating. It was because of how bad he was originally. His early films (when he was my age) made me realize that any guy could go out and make a cartoon, and that, if you keep making them, eventually you'll get good at it.

...yet still funny. Nice :D

It's not my favorite out of your submissions, but it was still very well done. heh, it makes me wonder why I can't achieve my dream of being an internet phenomena, both because of it's message, and because it manage to achieve a front page despite it's simplicity.

I have no idea how my stuff like this keeps getting front paged. I wouldn't even have made this one if I hadn't been asked to; I don't consider it one of my big projects in any way. As far as trying to get well-known on the interwebs, just keep at it. My semi-popularity is the product of about seven years of work, only one of which has finally yielded a fan base. Fame quickly achieved is quickly lost.

WAAAAAAAY too many F-bombs. Personally, I appreciate more tasteful humor. Although, I do really like the style of animation.

Pretty Funny

you nailed the "holy crap what happened to the TV" look perfectly. one question though: why is the file size so big for such a short movie?

Chilling

deeply creepy. A simple story with an impressive telling. Please, tell me how you created that camera filter. Animation quality was not as quite as impressive, but the style and color scheme was interesting and well planned.

I just took a texture and made it a movie clip then added a few more frames in that clip with the texture being moved around so it looks like a new texture each time. It's really just like 5 or 6 frames repeating.
