Overall, very good. I like that you kept things appropriate(there's just too much garbage on NG nowadays). Your character designs are very complex, and the colors are very appealing to the eye.

However, your storytelling skills fall very flat. I'm not so sure I understand what just happened, actually. I didn't see much of a storyline, much exposition, climax, or resolution. For instance, why was that guy trying to take over(...rob?) that store. What's the relationship between the antagonist and the protagonists? I suppose I have to give you leeway, since a lot of the plot holes seemed to have been intentional. Although, it didn't seem to have that comedic effect you were looking for.

Please, don't think that I'm hating on you. Certainly not, I'd just like to see a story more fitting of your level of artistic ability.

Twisted4000 responds:

Yeh plot holes were intentional. I was attempting to go for some anime-mocking thing, like in some episode nothing's really explained but the characters happen to have some previous relationship and conflict and

No but seriously that's a good review. I don't entirely agree with how the plot holes aren't funny, since that's more of a biased thing as opposed to a fact, but I see what you're saying.

I've got to be honest, I usually start a little unimpressed when I watch these. But your clever, creative, and most importantly clean writing almost always garner my attention and appreciation. The Hanky Hank Show's a really simple concept, but it's execution is... well clever's just about the only word I can use to describe it. It's quite a bit like Codename Kids Next Door, in that it has a way of sparking a very deep, childlike nostalgia that makes the character and the fundamental idea behind the show stick in the mind.

captainmcross responds:

Thanks. I'm trying to stick to doing one of these each week. Some of them come out better than others, but my real goal is to just keep consistent with this and see what happens.

I love all of the video game sound effects you put into it. They just seem to add to it. Hope your girlfriend liked it.

ScottCanDraw responds:

I thought adding a bit of a nerdy flare to it would add some extra fun.

whoa. No, just, whoa. Really creative. How do you come up with these kinds of ideas?

Emrox responds:

Iunno.

That's a great idea you had there. It's a very good concept, and the comedic timing was spot on. In honesty, though, I would've liked it much more if it were cleaner.

DuDuL responds:

Will try fix that next time ;D Thanks

Very nice work! The concept was very original, and the backgrounds and character symbols were very detailed and stylistic. Your storytelling ability is a gift. I'll hope to see you in the brackets. :)

DieterTheuns responds:

Same goes for you, I'm gonna call you Gary Oak coz I can tell I'll lose to you :<

Clever. :) Kick's my entry's butt, for sure. At least as far as entertainment value and originality. Sound quality is a little low, though.

Lankie responds:

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately I only had a cruddy USB mike to work with. Something I'll need to improve on I guess.
Good luck in NATA shenanigans! :D

Haha, not bad at all. It felt a little slow and emotionless, though. I'll admit, the joke was really quite clever. I can't wait to see how you'll fare. :)

hillrdavid responds:

Hmm you're not the only person who's mentioned the emotionless part. I'll keep that in mind for my next one. Thanks!

Clever. Really clever! i love it. Nothing like the random screaming that most people have to publish in order to become popular.

Just out of curiosity, how did you come about using guinea pigs as characters?

WaldFlieger responds:

Thanks a lot! It's kind of complicated, but basically I used to draw comics about my pet guinea pigs when I was a kid. In this past year, I resurrected those characters as a lark and have enjoyed it enough to make a series out of it.

I'm not a huge fan of stick movies, but I can say that I like how smooth the animation is. I would've liked it a little longer, though.

Lympha responds:

I'll try to make an animation with more length in the future.
