Very beautiful, and very stylistic. It quite a few watch throughs to find where the mechanics and time savers start to show through. It was a very unique concept, time being like a story book, written a page a day, unable to "skip ahead". However, I don't think that same idea, which you had written about in the author comments, was conveyed clearly to the audience. Most people understood that he tried to travel in time to help his spouse, but weren't really sure whether he traveled forward or backward until the end (or at least, that's how I thought the first time I saw the video). And I wouldn't have caught the idea of Time being like a book in progress, unless I had read all the way through your commentary.
All that said, don't think that I think you did a bad job. It was a wonderful story, and very touching, something I'd really like to see more of on newgrounds.

I've got to be honest, I usually start a little unimpressed when I watch these. But your clever, creative, and most importantly clean writing almost always garner my attention and appreciation. The Hanky Hank Show's a really simple concept, but it's execution is... well clever's just about the only word I can use to describe it. It's quite a bit like Codename Kids Next Door, in that it has a way of sparking a very deep, childlike nostalgia that makes the character and the fundamental idea behind the show stick in the mind.

Thanks. I'm trying to stick to doing one of these each week. Some of them come out better than others, but my real goal is to just keep consistent with this and see what happens.

Not a fan of My Little Pony, but I can appreciate good animation skills when I see them. Really, nice work. The one criticism I have is just that your pacing was a little awkward at times.

I love all of the video game sound effects you put into it. They just seem to add to it. Hope your girlfriend liked it.

I thought adding a bit of a nerdy flare to it would add some extra fun.

When I recognized the music, my face exploded into a bazillion pieces. I love BitShifter!

Anyway, this is one piece of animation that should DEFINITELY go into your reel. Being able to mimic so many different styles is a talent very few people have.

ya'll just NPC's.

whoa. No, just, whoa. Really creative. How do you come up with these kinds of ideas?

Emrox responds:

Iunno.

Absolutely incredible. You made this entirely on your own?

Man, no joke. That is THE BEST video I have ever seen on this site. The camera work was incredible, and the character animation was very natural. what 3D program was this made using? Maya? Blender?

That's a great idea you had there. It's a very good concept, and the comedic timing was spot on. In honesty, though, I would've liked it much more if it were cleaner.

DuDuL responds:

Will try fix that next time ;D Thanks

I would've gone to options and set the graphic quality to life even lower. :3

It's a very unique idea, if I do say so myself. The pacing seemed a little slow, but I can appreciate the work you put into the frame by frame animation. The anatomical structure of your character seems a little blobby, but that's not much of a distraction.

Overall, I think you did a pretty bang up job.
